 subscribe to key words on Google alerts in order to comb information on new technologies etc that can be used to treat or cure hydrocephalus.  This article and technology is interesting. . . . maybe if I could coordinate a workshop with Google/Shunt manuf/Neurosurgeons we could improve our 50 year old treatments.  #YourNeverOutOfTheFight #KeepDreaming

The last new shunt by codman was released to The American market in late 2012. It took Codman 8 years to receive FDA approval. 8 years!!!  Meanwhile it was being used in Europe.  The 510 K process is what the FDA calls the new small medical device approval process
