Tough 2 months

After 3 surgeries in May and 2 in April, Hawke's (who turned 3 on MAy 14th) stitches were finally removed today!  3 Revisions and externalized shunt.  We are still "gun-shy" looking for symptoms of any failures.

The last new shunt by codman was released to The American market in late 2012. It took Codman 8 years to receive FDA approval. 8 years!!!  Meanwhile it was being used in Europe.  The 510 K process is what the FDA calls the new small medical device approval process
